You are invited to an Evening with Mary King, at the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester GL7 6JS on Wednesday 4th November at 7.30.
This will be a wonderful evening where Mary, who has represented Britain in the last five Olympic Games, tells us all about her Life and Horses. This will be an inspirational, informative and enjoyable evening not to be missed!

Our main speakers at the Horses Inside Out Conference for 2010 are:

Dr Hilary Clayton PhD MRCVS, chairperson at the McPhail Equine Performance Center at Michigan State University, Vet, Trainer, Dressage Rider and Equine Researcher

Andy Thomas MCSP, Chartered Physiotherapist and specialist in the field of musculo skeletal intervention to elite athletes in the equestrian world.

As a veterinarian and researcher, Dr. Clayton's studies have focused on sport horses, including dressage and jumping horses whilst Andrews main field of expertise lies in identifying rider problems and weaknesses. Last year he was the physiotherapist to the Equestrian Riders at the World Equestrian Games across Eventing, Endurance, Show Jumping, Carriage Driving, Reining, Vaulting and Dressage.

The theme running through the conference will be looking at muscles and core stability.

The two day conference, to be held at the Ramada Hotel and Arena UK near Grantham will enable riders and therapists to see how horse and rider can achieve optimum performance through understanding and control.

Stolen Strada in Holland

During the night from 18 september to 19 september 2009 a Strada saddle was stolen in Holland. It was taken from a locked room and a display with saddle lock. The thieves managed to open the room and the saddle lock without any damage.

If anyone happens to spot a brown C-type for sale anywhere over the world, at this moment nearly three months old, please let me know.

Hi,
saw these videos on YouTube and it really inspired me to try to someday achieve this with my horse! It also was really useful, because I've read about how to do this stuff (for example, in Beudant, who is my 'idol'), but never *seen* it done.
Here is one link, just view all links posted by this person; there is cantering backwards, canter on three legs, rhythmic insertion of jambette into a gait, and the nicest spanish walk I've seen yet. It's all of the same Portuguese rider, I think.

Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze, a passionate and valued member of the Arabian horse community died from pancreatic cancer complications at the age of 57.

Swayze was known to most as a dancer and actor in films such as Dirty Dancing, Roadhouse and Ghost. To the Arabian horse community he was an accomplished and giving horseman. An active participant at Arabian shows throughout the late '80s and early '90s, Swayzes star power helped bring attention to the Arabian breed. Swayzes true passion for the horse earned him utmost respect in the horse community.

New saddlery facility. Apologies for delays

To those of you that do not already know, we are in the middle of changing our manufacturing system. With the old system we were approaching maximum and I decided to do something about it. It has taken us a few months but from the end of this month(Aug. 2009) we should be able to make more saddles , better and faster. There will be a new endurance saddle, a new multi purpose and an all new event saddle .

Apologies to all who have experienced a delay during the changeover. Thanks for your patience!

En Angleterre, nous disons que beaucoup de routes mnent Rome! C'est la

mme chose en dressage. Personne n'a absolument raison ou compltement

tort. Il faut tre influenc par ceux qui rendent le cheval plus beau et

ignorer ceux qui lui enlvent sa beaut. Cherchez les livres par les

cavaliers des coles royales et ceux qui y ont tudi. Le Cadre Noir,

l'Ecole de Vienne, l'Ecole Portugaise d'Art Equestre et l'Ecole Royale

d'Andalousie. Michel et Catherine Henriquet et Philippe Karl et tous les

livres par Nuno Oliveira. Racinet, qui est mort rcemment, dit de bonnes

choses et parlait franais. N'coutez jamais ceux qui vont contre la nature

du cheval car nos meilleurs professeurs sont nos chevaux, et l'amour

extraordinaire que nous ressentons pour eux doit toujours tre notre

motivation. Oui, nous nous avons tous nos diffrences, nos mthodes et nos

I found this. Look at the Spanish horse video "rider in sitting trot!"

the trot is correct when the forearm of the horse is parallel to the diagonal hind cannon bone. Look at some of the other picture examples!
